On day three, enjoy a village tour and experience local daily life in a traditional Sumatran village. Visit local homes and see how people make tofu, tempeh, and traditional brown sugar from palm sugar.

Early in the morning, we leave Bukit Lawang and travel to Berastagi, a mountain town in the Karo Highlands. The journey takes approximately 5–6 hours, passing through beautiful countryside and mountain scenery.
Along the way, we stop at a viewpoint to see the volcano area and houses destroyed by volcanic eruptions, offering insight into local life and natural forces.
Upon arrival in Berastagi, check in at the hotel and rest. Afterward, explore Berastagi by visiting the large Berastagi fruit market, where you can see and taste fresh local fruits.
Next, visit the peaceful Lumbini Natural Park (Buddhist Temple), followed by a relaxing visit to the Berastagi hot springs.
Return to the hotel after enjoying all destinations comfortably.
Wake up early around 3:30 AM for a Mount Sibayak volcano hike. The drive to the hiking point takes about 1.5 hours. After hiking and enjoying the sunrise, return to the hotel for breakfast and packing.
In the morning, depart Berastagi and travel to Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. The journey takes approximately 5 hours. Along the way, stop to visit a traditional Batak house and the famous Sipiso-Piso Waterfall.
Upon arrival at Lake Toba, cross by boat to Samosir Island, where you will stay for two nights.
After breakfast, visit Ambarita Village to see the stone trial chairs and traditional Batak houses. A local guide will explain the history and culture of the Batak people, including the execution stones. Time spent here is about 1–2 hours.
Next, continue to Simanindo Village to visit an old traditional Batak house once used for ceremonies and dances, as well as a small museum (around 30 minutes).
After that, visit a village where Batak Ulos traditional cloth is made. Enjoy the scenic views of Lake Toba while watching local people weave Ulos, exploring traditional houses, and learning about Batak craftsmanship.
If you are not too tired, finish the day relaxing by Lake Toba with a cup of local coffee and peaceful lake views.
Return to the hotel on Samosir Island for the night.
After breakfast, leave Samosir Island by boat to Parapat, then continue by car to Medan Airport.
The drive takes approximately 6 hours and marks the end of your 7-day North Sumatra tour.
